Post Processors for Mastercam

The largest resource of
Post Processors for Mastercam

CIMCO Integration has years of experience making post processors for 5 to 6 axis machines and for any type of axis setup (both axes in the head, axes in the head and the table, or both axes in the table). Machines include Deckel/Maho, Hermle, Reichenbacher, Hüllhorst, Fadal, Geiss, Zimmermann, Okuma, Maka, CMS, Hurco, Ferrari, Willemin, CME, Bacci, Bulleri, Mazak and more.

All post processor can easily be further configured by the customer if there are specific needs or additional adjustments required. CIMCO Integration can also provide you with the configuration files needed on request and provide further documentation and other guidance if necessary.

We can of course also make 5 to 6 axis post processors for other machines on order. Please contact us for more information.

Enhanced post processor capabilities

CIMCO post processors for Mastercam include a long list of advanced features which makes them both efficient and a good choice for customers. Some of these include: Fully configurable post processor, for any type of axis setup (both axes in the head, axes in the head and the table, or both axes in the table). Feedrate control for accurate surface feed, rather than feedrate applied to the axes. Provides tilted and swarfed machining, not only on curves, but also on surfaces. Creates intermediate coordinates if the axis rotations are too large, applying linear and polynomial interpolation. Supports all 5-axis toolpath types; Curve5ax, Drill5ax, Swarf5ax, Flow5ax, and 5-axis ruled.

Post processor configuration

A post processor consists of five files: A Cp6.dll application (which cannot be altered), the .control, .mmd (or .lmd or .rmd) and the *.pst file (these are similar to a normal Mastercam post processor, allowing the dealer or the user to customize the output) and a *.cp6 file (used to specify the machine axis configuration and other options). The *.cp6 file is unique to each type of machine and can be configured by the customer or by CIMCO, based on machine drawings and/or descriptions.

Additional advanced features

The post processor will start at a rotational angle (typically in the C axis), from where you will be able to do all the machining without any retracts, if possible. However, if this is not possible, because the moves are beyond the machine limits, the post processor will retract the tool in the tool direction, rewind the C axis and reposition, and then continue automatically. This is very important for machines with a robot head setup such as e.g.Gantry machines.

If you have a surface with bumps or curves which is not 100% smooth, most post processors will output codes, where you will have large rotational angles whenever the tool angle is almost vertical. This problem is eliminated with this post processor.

The post processor will start at the tilt side where you can do all the machining without any retracts, if possible. However, if this is not possible, the post processor will retract and continue on the other side.

All user variable settings can be specified in the post processor parameter file and only the parameters needed by the customer are active.
